Javier Perez, DDS
Dr. Perez grew up with two parents who worked as doctors, and saw first-hand how they helped people in need. He followed them into caring for his community, through dentistry. He never tires of seeing what good care does for a patient: it can change someone’s life for the better.

Dental implants
Small titanium posts replace the missing roots, then carry a custom crown, bridge or denture. Dr. Perez usually recommends them to anyone rebuilding a smile, and the whole treatment happens here.
Invisalign

Same-day appointments are available for emergencies. Calling means you speak to one of the team right away instead of waiting for a reply to a form, and Dr. Perez can stop the pain, find the cause and treat it.
- Toothache: rinse and floss around the tooth. Still hurts? Take an over-the-counter pain reliever and call.
- Chipped or broken tooth: keep the pieces in a safe container and hold a cold compress to the cheek.
- Lost filling or crown: if you have it, set it back with a dab of toothpaste, then call to have it repaired.
- Sore, clicking or stuck jaw: call right away, so the pain stops and the cause can be treated.

Frequently asked questions
Quick answers before you book.
How often should I go to the dentist?
Dr. Perez recommends a checkup and cleaning at least twice a year for everyone, whatever their age. It lets the team stop common problems, or treat them as early as possible, which keeps your mouth healthy and your costs low.
When should my child start visiting the dentist?
Around age 2 to 3, just like Mom and Dad, twice a year. The first visits are a brief exam and a lesson for you and your child in caring for a growing smile. Cleanings become part of the routine as time goes on.
I have a toothache. What should I do?
Rinse, and floss around the tooth to make sure no food is caught there. If it still hurts, take an over-the-counter pain reliever and call the office right away: even a minor toothache can be a sign of an infection or a crack in the enamel.
How can I get a same-day appointment?
Call (903) 534-8110 rather than sending a request form online. You will speak to one of the team straight away, and they can ask the questions they need to understand your situation. Same-day appointments are available for emergencies.
Can I straighten my teeth without metal braces?
Yes. Invisalign straightens crooked, crowded and gapped teeth with clear trays that are hard for anyone to notice. Six Month Smiles uses low-profile brackets and tooth-colored wires to move only the teeth that show when you smile.
Will you take my dental insurance?
Most likely. The practice accepts many PPO plans and will file your claims for you. If your plan is not on the list, call with your policy information and the team will go over your coverage. No insurance? Ask about the in-house membership program.
How much does it cost to have a tooth pulled without insurance?
In the United States an extraction often costs between $150 and $400, depending on how many teeth, how difficult it is, whether sedation is used and how the tooth is replaced. The team will give you an estimate for your own situation.
